Last week on Ring of Honor Wrestling TV

In the main event, Rhino challenged ROH World Champion Davey Richards in a Proving Ground match but before that there was plenty of action!

Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin beat D-Line in tag team action before CHIKARA Trios Action got underway and Ultramantis Black joined Kevin Kelly and Nigel McGuinness in the announce booth.

El Hijo de Ice Cream, Ice Cream Junior, and Ophidian lost to The Colony (Fire Ant, Green Ant, and Soldier Ant) in a hotly contested match that was certainly different than anything else seen in Ring of Honor!

Ricky Reyes fought former ROH World TV Champion Jay Lethal, but it was the Lethal Injection that was the decision maker here and got Lethal the victory.

Veda Scott interviewed Davey Richards about the match with Rhino later. Davey mentioned the seventy thousand dollars that was offered to take him out but noted how Truth already has someone in his camp who is unbreakable, then said it would be hard to gore someone when your ankle is broken.

This weeks edition of Inside ROH covered the growing issue between Eddie Edwards & Mike Bennett stemming from the March Mayhem Tournament.  The rematch goes down next week.

Next week we will also see the All Night Express against the Young Bucks in an elimination bout.

Veda Scott was then with Rhino & Truth Martini. Truth tells Rhino that money talks and Rhino gores, then Davey Richards dies. Rhino says that he will rip Davey in half with a GORE.

ROH World Champion Davey Richards pinned Rhino in the Proving Ground Match main event with a sunset flip, but immediately following the bell, Roderick Strong attacked Richards and Rhino joined in. ROH officials came to ringside to stop it, but it was Jay Lethal who hit the ring to take care of Roderick Strong and Rhino. The HoT duo bailed leaving Richards and Lethal standing together in the ring.

This week on "Ring of Honor Wrestling TV

The All Night Express settle their feud against The Young Bucks in an elimination match!

The Prodigy Mike Bennett with Maria Kanellis & Brutal Bob faces Die Hard Eddie Edwards!

Grizzly Redwood will be in action! And more!!!

News & Rumors

- Kevin Steen is unfortunately the new ROH World Champion after defeating Davey Richards last Saturday at Border Wars in Toronto.

- Border Wars will go down as one of the greatest Ring of Honor events of all time!

- Steve Corino shocked everyone by embracing Kevin Steen after his World Title win last Saturday at Border Wars. Everyone is waiting to hear what Steve Corino has to say about what happened in Toronto. We expect Steve to speak out on the situation this Friday in Baltimore at the Du Burns Arena.

- There will be a special match taped for the INTERNET ONLY this Friday in Baltimore at the Du Burns Arena to determine a challenger for the World Title on 6/30 in Pittsburgh, PA. 4 men will be selected out of 8 in a random drawing to compete in a 4-Way elimination to determine who will get a shot at the ROH World Championship in Pittsburgh!

- The Dominant Male Tommaso Ciampa suffered his first loss last Saturday since entering ROH over a year and a half ago. Jay Lethal gained retribution on Ciampa for costing him the TV Title by taking Ciampas undefeated streak away from him. Ciampa immediately left the Ted Reeve Arena in a rage after the bout last Saturday and has yet to be heard from by The Embassy or anyone else from ROH. Despite Ciampas unstable attitude, it is a true testament to his ability that he was able to remain undefeated for so long in such a vast pool of competition.

Last Weekend on Ring of Honor Wrestling TV

Its Kevin Steen vs. Kyle OReilly in the main event, one week before Kevins ROH World Title match at Border Wars against Kyles friend & mentor Davey Richards!

Before we got to that though, it was The Dominant Male Tommaso Ciampa versus Matt Taven in the opening contest of the evening!  With Jay Lethal watching at ringside, Ciampa picked up the victory following a series of running knees to the head & Project Ciampa to Taven.  Words were exchanged between Lethal & Ciampa but not physicality between the Border Wars opponents went down

Veda Scott was in the locker room with TJ Perkins but his interview was interrupted by The Young Bucks who wondered why Veda wasnt interviewing them. Words were exchanged there as well but Perkins left for his scheduled match against Mike Mondo before it got more heated.

The Mondo/Perkins contest was quite even until The Young Bucks made their way to ringside, repeatedly causing a distraction that ultimately led to TJ getting caught by Mondo and drilled with an elevated DDT that got No Fear the win!  The Bucks & Mondo began to assault Perkins but the All Night Express hit the ring to even the odds.

It was time to go Inside ROH once again as we are on the eve of Border Wars.

We got comments from the challengers for the World Tag Team Titles, Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin as they prepare for their final shot at the titles. Jay Briscoe then commented as well, saying that they have been through a war and they might have started it, but in Florida, Haas and Benjamin crossed the line. Jay says that they are going to cross the line in Canada.

Truth Martini discusses the three matches involving the House of Truth next weekend.

Roderick tells Finlay that he hears that he likes to fight. On May 12th, he will be in store for the biggest fight of his life.

Michael Elgin tells Adam Cole he walks into Toronto in a dream land of his. On May 12th, Cole gets a dose of reality when he faces the only man who is the true breakout star of 2012.

Rhino tells Eddie Edwards that he is a former Heavyweight Champion and so is he. Rhino says that he gets paid to take people out and he will do it in Toronto. Eddie Edwards says that he has done his talking and it is about what will happen in the ring. It will be about who will take the most and get up to fight back. He will not be stopped and he is going to get the World Title again.

Mike Bennett tells Maria that it makes him really sad that Lance didnt get the picture in Fort Lauderdale. Lance begged for another match against him. He doesnt like that Lance wants it in his home country. Mike wants to be serious for a minute. He says that Lances Ring of Honor career came close to an end in Fort Lauderdale. It will definitely end in Toronto.

Veda Scott returned, this time in the locker room with Kyle OReilly, and he addressed his match with Steen in the main event, saying he will expose Steen for the fraud that he is and everyone will wake up from Wrestlings Greatest Daydream.

Steve Corino joined Kevin Kelly & Nigel McGuinness at the announce table for the main event as Jimmy Jacobs joined Kevin Steen at ringside while Kyle OReilly stood alone.

In a battle of power vs. speed, force vs. technique, Steen & OReilly battled it out but it came down to Steen nailing the GTH to get the win over Kyle! After the match, Steen attacked Kyle with a tennis racket and then, with Jacobs taunting him, Kyle was placed in the ankle lock by Kevin.

This brought out Davey Richards as he fought Jacobs & Steen both, but a low blow from Jimmy cut off that rally.  Steen took the tennis racket to Richards with the tennis racket and then once more to Kyle before security removed them. After Davey recovered, he took the microphone and told Steen there is one thing he will never do, take Daveys Ring of Honor title from him. Not only will he kick Steens ass and bury him in Toronto, he will show Steen what it is like to be helpless. He tells Kevin that his days of pretending to be an athlete or a professional wrestler are quickly coming to an end. Davey then says his American Strong Style thing is dead, and if Steen wants the Wolf, hes got the Wolf and he is hunting Steen.

This weekend on Ring of Honor Wrestling TV

Rhino takes on ROH World Champion Davey Richards in a Proving Ground Bout trying to earn himself a World Title match down the line!

Its CHIKARA Trios Action as The Colony (Fire Ant, Soldier Ant, & Green Ant) battle Ophidian & Los Ice Creams!

Jay Lethal faces Cuban Crippler Ricky Reyes!

And Wrestlings Greatest Tag Team will be in action!!!!

Last week on Ring ofHonor Wrestling TV

This week its one title match, one Proving Groundchallenge, and a TV debut as we get closer to Border Wars in Toronto on May12th!

First up it was the team of Cedric Alexander & CapriceColeman stepping onto The Proving Ground against ROH World Tag Team ChampionsJay & Mark Briscoe in an attempt to earn a future tag title match.

The younger duo fought their hearts out but it was theinterference of Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin that proved the decidingfactor as a low blow was delivered behind the referees back. Coleman &Alexander capitalized on the interference and defeated the Briscoes to earn afuture ROH World Tag Team title shot.

Truth Martini, Prince Nana and RD Evans revealed thatMartini purchased a mercenary in the form of Rhino to take out everyone intitle contention. Rhino says at Border Wars Eddie Edwards will die a slowpainful death.

Rhino then massacred Vinny Marseglia with The Gore to winhis debut TV match.

Kevin Kelly and Jim Cornette were then joined in the ring byKevin Steen & Jimmy Jacobs.  Thetopic at hand is his impending ROH World Title Match with Davey Richards and asthe conversation gets heated, Richards himself comes to the ring and afterwords are exchanged it nearly turns into a fight.  Cornette gets people to break it up, makesthem both sign a waiver saying they cant sue Ring of Honor if they getinjured, then Cornette says Steen shouldve read the waiver because in therewas a clause saying this is Steens only chance at the title.

In Inside ROH this week, they cover Wrestlings GreatestTag Team and the Briscoes Fight Without Honor at Border Wars, and its thefinal time the two teams will wrestle for the titles.

Lance Storm talks about his rematch with Mike Bennett, stating that Bennetts attack after their match at Showdown in the Sun issomething he is going to have to answer for.

Jay Lethal says Tommaso Ciampa cost him the ROH World TVTitle, so Lethal is going to cost Ciampa his undefeated streak in Toronto.

Eddie Edwards says he knows what Rhino is capable of, butits going to take Rhino killing him to beat him because he will keep gettingright back up.

In the main event, the World TV Title was on the line asRoderick Strong made his first defense since capturing the title at Showdownin the Sun " Day 2; his challenger " Adam Cole.

In typical fashion, it was the interference of Truth Martini& Michael Elgin that made all the difference as a distraction provided byElgin allowed Martini to hit Cole with the Book of Truth, opening him up forRoderick to get the win & retain the TV Title.

Last Weekend on Ring of Honor Wrestling TV

Its Road Rage once more as we hit Ft. Lauderdale for highlights from Showdown in the Sun " Day 2on March 31st!

First up, the ROH World Tag Team Champions Jay & Mark Briscoe defended their belts against Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin!  It was the typical hard-fought affair between the four men that was every bit the brawl you would expect.  It was fought just as much outside the ring as it was inside, but once everything got under control, it was the brothers who captured the victory in this rivalry.  Despite the loss, WGTT wasnt done as they assaulted both men after the conclusion of the bout, laying Mark out on the floor, and using the corner post to abuse the groin of Jay.

Next up was a match between CHIKARAs Fire Ant & Technical Lightning TJ Perkins that saw masked man give it all he had but it wasnt enough as a 450 Splash from Perkins gave him the win after a good back-and-forth battle.

Inside ROH gave us comments from Kevin Steen & Davey Richards as they prepare to lock-up at Border Wars on May 12th as well as word with Lance Storm about his rematch with The Prodigy Mike Bennett that night as well.

In the main event of the night, Jay Lethal was conned by Tommaso Ciampa into putting his ROH World TV Title on the line against Roderick Strong.  Lethal had the match in his pocket but interference from Ciampa on the floor left the champion open for attack, and Strong took advantage to pick up the win, and become the new TV Champion; a victory that also marks him as the 2nd man to win the ROH Triple Crown!

First up, the highly anticipated return of Lane Storm as he took on TheProdigy Mike Bennett! It was every bit the back-and-forth wrestling battle onewould expect but it was the youth of Bennett that won out in the end as hefinished of the Canadian Icon with a TKO to pick up the victory!  After the bout a handshake was offered butBennett used that as an opportunity to disrespect & lay out Storm onceagain.  Following the bout, comments werecaptured from Storm in which he challenged Bennett to meet him one more time

Highlights from the Proving Ground match between ROH World Tag TeamChampions Jay & Mark Briscoe and Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls wereshown.  While Haste & Nicholls werequite impressive in their outing, they couldnt muster up enough to put downthe 7-Time Tag Team Champions and earn a future title opportunity.

It was announced that at Border Wars on 5/12 in Toronto thehighly-respected Fit Finlay will his debut in Ring of Honor to face RoderickStrong, The Briscoes will face Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin in a FightWithout Honor for the World Tag Titles and that Die Hard Eddie Edwards wouldtake on Rhino.

In our main event, it was La Revancha as Kevin Steen & El Generico went to war in a Last Man Standing match. These two bitter rivals pulled out all the stops, and all the weapons they could find, in order to put the other man down for a ten count but the deciding factor came when Jimmy Jacobs got involved.  Jacobs took a chair from Steen, leaving him open to get dropped on his head by Generico, but then Jimmy shocked the world by pulling a railroad spike from his jacket and stabbing Generico!  This left The Generic Luchador open to get cracked across the skull with a chair, leaving him down for the ten-count as Steen & Jacobs celebrated together.

Last Week On Ring of Honor Wrestling TV

It was the finals of the March Mayhem tournament with $24,000 at stake for the winner but before we could get to that elimination bout there was other business to attend to, including a chaotic press conference for ROHs Border Wars event in Toronto scheduled for May 12th!

We kicked off with The Young Bucks taking on TJ Perkins & Shiloh Jonze in tag team action and although the Perkins/Jonze team put up a good fight, it was the veteran team of the Jackson brothers who picked up the victory.

Following that, Matt Taven & Mike Mondo went one-on-one in a bit of a grudge match stemming from previous weeks actions and it was Mondo who came out ahead following a Double-Arm DDT.

The usual edition of Inside ROH has been postponed in lieu of highlights from the Border Wars press conference held in Baltimore last week.  It started innocently enough, announcing the participation of Fit Finlay in the event and that all World Titles would be defended, but as ROH World Champion Davey Richards began to speak he was interrupted by Wrestlings Worst Nightmare Kevin Steen.  The scene began to degenerate quickly, leading to Richards essentially demanding that Jim Cornette make the highly-demanded ROH World Title match between he & Steen or he would turn over the belt & walk away.  In addition, Davey also demanded that the piledriver, which has been banned since Final Battle 2011, be reinstated for the match.  Backed into a corner, Cornette relented and made the match official for May 12th in Toronto, Canada!

It was now time for the March Mayhem Finals with Jay Lethal, Tommaso Ciampa, Adam Cole, and Mike Bennett squaring off in an elimination bout with $24,000 on the line. Bennett was the first person eliminated following a Lethal Injection from Jay, they Lethal was promptly eliminated by Ciampa via the Knockout Knee.  This left Cole & Ciampa to battle it out for the grand prize but it was the inadvertent distraction of Lethal that ultimately led to the conclusion, allowing Tommaso to hit The Project Ciampa for the win & the big check!

INSIDE RING OF HONOR 3/27/12 - 03/27/12

By: Christopher Maurer

cjmaurer@roh-wrestling.com

We are one week away from Showdown in the Sun in Ft. Lauderdale and this weeks TV opened with a face-to-face-to-face confrontation between ROH World Champion Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards, and Roderick Strong as they prepare to fight one another in a Triple Threat Elimination bout on March 30th.

During the course of the back and forth arguments, Roderick actually claimed that if Davey retained the belt, it would be okay because Michael Elgin would turn over his match with Davey to Roderick, essentially giving him a second chance at the belt. Before Elgin could retort, Jay Lethal made his way to ringside, pointing out the massive amounts of interference in his World Title match against Davey, and questioning the validity of Roderick getting an opportunity.  Jim Cornette, who was attempting to moderate the meeting of the World Championship bout, pointed out that if Roderick won the Triple Threat match, Lethal would get his chance.  It seemed a fight was destined to break out but the proceedings were once again interrupted by the arrival of Kevin Steen.

Steen mocks the entire proceeding, stating that one way or another he will become ROH World Champion and Kevin tells Jim that it is clever that he calls him Wrestlings Greatest Nightmare, but when he is Ring of Honor World Champion, he will be Jims personal never ending nightmare.

Following that war of words, it was time for Wrestlings Greatest Tag Team versus Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander.  Each team had pre-taped words for one another prior to the start of the bout and while the bout was quite competitive, just as WGTT seemed to have things all wrapped up, The Briscoes hit the ring and cracked Charlie Haas with a steel chair in the head, allowing Coleman to pick up the win.

Kevin Kelly presented a new edition of Inside ROH, first taking a look at the announcement of Kevin Steens opponent on March 30th, El Generico, then offering up comments from both Lance Storm & Mike Bennett as they head towards a meeting at Showdown in the Sun " Day 1 as well.

As we return to action, Jim Cornette joins the announce team to inform everyone that a fine will be levied against The Briscoes for their actions and that on 3/30, WGTT will have a rematch with Coleman & Alexander.

In the main event, a first round March Mayhem match, Adam Cole & Michael Elgin went one-on-one.  It was the power of Elgin against the speed of Cole but the deciding factor came when Truth Martini & Strong elected to get involved in the bout to help their man.  Strong grabbed Cole, Martini distracted the referee, but Rodericks attempt at hitting Cole with an enziguiri struck Elgin instead, allowing Adam to pick up the victory.  The HoT immediately attacked Cole, which drew Edwards out to the ring, and a brawl erupted as the show came to a close.

This week on Ring of Honor Wrestling TV

March Mayhem continues with two Qualifying matches pitting "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards against fellow Bostonian, "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett and The Dominant Male Tommaso Ciampa, with The Embassy in his corner, faces Kyle OReilly!  The winner of each bout advances to the Final 4-Way against Adam Cole and Jay Lethal who have already advanced, and at stake a $24,000 prize!

INSIDE RING OF HONOR - 03/19/12

By: Christopher Maurer

Last week on Ring of Honor Wrestling TV

March Mayhem got underway in ROH this past weekend as 8 individuals are pitted against each other in a tournament with a $24,000 prize at stake! The men involved are Jay Lethal, Roderick Strong, Michael Elgin, Adam Cole, Tommaso Ciampa, Kyle OReilly, Mike Bennett, & Eddie Edwards. One contest will go down tonight, but before we got there, Adam Cole was in action against Chris Silvio.

Silvio put up a good fight but it was Adam Cole who picked up the victory with his Wrist Clutch German Suplex.  That victory drew Coles former Future Shock partner out to the ring to issue a challenge for Showdown in the Sun- Day 2 on March 31st, Cole versus OReilly one-on-one, and Adam was all to happy to accept.

Wrestlings Worst Nightmare Kevin Steen than joined Kevin Kelly in the ring for a special interview addressing several topics including his Blind Destiny bout on 3/31 with Eddie Edwards, his potential ROH World Title match, and of course, Jim Cornette.  All of this eventually brought Cornette out to the ring where he announced that Kevin would have a special opponent on 3/30, a man with whom Kevin is very familiar: El Generico!

We then got comments from Lance Storm who addresses The Prodigy Mike Bennett and his comments regarding Storm.  World Champion Davey Richards discussed the coming weekend as the toughest weekend of his life with the Triple Threat Match on Friday night and the Saturday bout against Michael Elgin. Davey says that if he walks out of that weekend with the title, he feels that he has earned it.

It was then time to discuss the World Tag Team Title Match on Saturday pitting The Briscoes against Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin. Jay says that it isnt a secret that they dont like WGTT but they made a name for themselves and became millionaires.  The Briscoes, on the other hand, are grinding on the chicken farm and they show that they are a real tag team, not the makeshift teams they faced on Monday nights. They have hit each other with chairs, but when he was handcuffed to the turnbuckle and hit Mark with a chair, it is the principle of the thing. Jay says that it will hit the fan in Fort Lauderdale. He guarantees that someone is going to get carried out.

Charlie Haas says that the Briscoes are backward ass chicken farmers. He wonders how many times they have to come back and tell their dad that they got their asses kicked. On March 31st, it is over. Shelton says that they are better than the Briscoes.

It was main event time as ROH World TV Champion Jay Lethal met Roderick Strong in the March Mayhem tournament.  The TV Title was not on the line here, and of course Elgin & Truth Martini attempted to get involved to get Roderick the victory, but their interference was what ultimately cost Strong the victory and allowed Jay to advance in the tournament.

INSIDE RING OF HONOR - 03/12/12

By: Christopher Maurer

cjmaurer@roh-wrestling.com

This week on Ring of Honor Wrestling TV

It was all about Blind Destiny this week as six wrestlers battled it out in three matches, looking to position themselves for a potential World Title match at "Showdown in the Sun " Day 2 on March 31st!  The crux of the entire thing though is the Triple Threat Title bout scheduled for 3/30 as ROH World Champion Davey Richards defends against Eddie Edwards and Roderick Strong.  Whoever walks out of that match with the belt in their possession will defend it against one of the men who wins their respective matches.

First on tap, ROH World TV Champion Jay Lethal and Kenny King fought it out with the winner facing Roderick Strong on 3/31.  With Roderick & Truth Martini scouting at ringside, the two men went back and forth with Lethal ultimately capturing the win with a bridging pin and getting one step closer to getting a shot at the championship.

After hearing comments from both Adam Cole and Kevin Steen, the two competitors met with the winner to face Eddie Edwards on 3/31. Cole fought his heart out but it was Kevin Steen & his F-5 maneuver that scored the victory.  After the match, Steen attempted to use his banned Package Piledriver on Cole but Edwards came to the aid of his new tag team partner & chased off Wrestlings Worst Nightmare.

Kevin Kelly presented another edition of Inside ROH with a focus on the World Title match at Showdown in the Sun " Day 1.  After hearing comments from both Roderick Strong & Eddie Edwards on that match, Mike Bennett then offered some rather derogatory comments directed towards his opponent that night; Lance Storm.  The Briscoes then chimed in with some words for Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin and their ROH World Title match at SITS Day 2.

Back at ringside for the final Blind Destiny qualifier between Michael Elgin & Kyle OReilly, ROH World Champion Davey joined the commentary team as the winner of this one will square off with him on 3/31.  It was a brutal fight between Elgins power and OReilly speed & technique in this rematch of the Survival of the Fittest 2011 finals.  Of course Roderick Strong had to make his presence known at ringside, raising the ire of Richards as Strongs initial distraction allowed Elgin to get the upper hand.  Rodericks presence again played a factor in the closing moments of the match when OReilly had a guillotine choke secured but Strong drew the referees attention which in turn drew Kyles attention away from his opponent.  The distraction gave Elgin all the opening he needed to take over and finish off OReilly with his buckle bomb/spiral bomb combination.

With the qualifiers in the bag, weve got Richards vs. Elgin, Lethal vs. Strong, and Steen vs. Edwards.  Which match will be for the ROH World Title?  Thats what everyone will be waiting to see on March 30th when Richards, Strong, and Edwards battle it out.  Which ever man walks out of the War Memorial that night with the championship will have to turn around and defend it the following day.  Elgin, Lethal, and Steen will have a close eye on that match as they wait for their destiny to be determined

INSIDE RING OF HONOR 3/7/12 - 03/07/12

By: Christopher Maurer

cjmaurer@roh-wrestling.com

This week on Ring of Honor Wrestling TV

It was two former World Champions, Roderick Strong & Eddie Edwards, battling it out in the main event to see who would challenge ROH World Champion Davey Richards for the championship at Showdown in the Sun on March 30th, but before we got there, some other business had to be taken care of on the eve of our 10th Anniversary Event.

TJ Perkins & The Prodigy Mike Bennett collided in a rematch of their Northern Aggression battle, and of course Bennett had both Brutal Bob & Maria in his corner.  Bennett, in his pre-match interview, was more focused on his impending meeting with Lance Storm in Ft. Lauderdale and, if not for the crucial involvement of his trainer & his girlfriend, this likely would have turned out very differently as Perkins took it to The Prodigy.  Still, the numbers game prevailed and a distraction provided by the First Lady of ROH allowed Bennett to hit his Box Office Smash and pick up the win.

ROH interviewer Veda Scott caught up with The Dominant Male Tommaso Ciampa & The Embassy Ltd. as he prepared for his upcoming match against Guy Alexander, as well as his battle with ROH World TV Champion Jay Lethal in New York on March 4th.  After running down Lethal, Ciampa then went to the ring and absolutely dominated Alexander, forcing the official to stop the match after Tommaso delivered repeated running knees to his opponent, rendering him unable to continue.

Kevin Kelly kicked off this weeks edition of Inside ROH with a preview of the 10th Anniversary Show.  First it was ROH World Tag Team Champions Jay & Mark Briscoe with some words for their opponents, The Young Bucks, and then Kevin Steen addresses his No DQ match with Jimmy Jacobs as well.

The focus shifted to Showdown in the Sun, the World Title match for the 3/30 that will be set with the results of the Edwards/Strong main event, and Lance Storms ROH return against Mike Bennett.  The Grudge Match between The Briscoes & WGTT is addressed and it is announced that over the course of SITS, The All Night Express & The Young Bucks will fight it out both days in what is being called a Dual Duel!  On the 30th, the two teams will meet in a Street Fight & then on the 31st ANX & The Bucks will meet once more, this time in a Tornado Tag Match.

And before we head to the main event Kevin Kelly mentions that CHIKARAs presence will be felt on both the 10th Anniversary Event as well as in Ft. Lauderdale

In the main event, Strong & Edwards battled it out with the ferocity and intensity they always do, especially with a return match for the ROH World Title at stake for each.  It was as heated a battle as one would expect, but also as you would expect, Truth Martini waited for his moment to stick his nose in while the referee was distracted, but Adam Cole was quick to hit ringside to stop Truth & drill him with a superkick.  Edwards quickly dove onto Michael Elgin & Martini, allowing Strong to load-up his boot with some foreign object & hit the Sick Kick for the win and earn the 3/30 World Title shot!

Another official, Paul Turner, hit the ring to tell Senior Referee Todd Sinclair about what happened, opening up Edwards to get up on Roderick, but in the process knock Sinclair out.  Turner now made the count for Edwards which brought out Jim Cornette to clarify the situation.  Cornette, agreeing with the decision of both officials, elected to make it a Triple Threat Match with Davey Richards defending against BOTH Eddie Edwards & Roderick Strong on Friday March 30th at Showdown in the Sun- Day 1!

Next week on Ring of Honor Wrestling TV

On March 31st, three ROH competitors face a Blind Destiny with one lucky man receiving an ROH World Title match solely based on the outcome of March 30th's title bout.  Which three competitors will watch this title match with great anticipation?  Well thats what will get sorted out this weekend on Ring of Honor Wrestling!

Three matches, six competitors, with each winner slated to take on either Roderick, Davey, or Eddie on 3/31, and depending on which of those men has the championship, someone is getting a title match.

- Kenny King will take on Jay Lethal with the winner facing Roderick Strong

- Adam Cole goes one-on-one with Kevin Steen & that winner faces Eddie Edwards

- Michael Elgin fights Kyle OReilly with the victor meeting Davey Richards

The possibilities are numerous and regardless of who wins in these initial matches, each man will have to sit in limbo until that final bell rings on 3/30 before they know who will get a chance at the ROH World Title.  Its unpredictable, its random, it is Blind Destiny

This week on Ring of Honor Wrestling TV

Champion vs. Champion

The highlight of this weekends edition of television was ROH World Champion Davey Richards putting his title on the line against ROH World TV Champion Jay Lethal. This was a rematch of their Homecoming 2012 encounter from January.  Richards won that battle to retain his title but it was partially marred by Roderick Strongs interference. Thus Richards offered this rematch to Lethal.

As with their first battle, both champions went all out to secure the victory. As in their first battle, this one w also involvemed outside interference.  First it was Tommaso Ciampa, Lethals opponent at the 10th Anniversary Event, who made his way to ringside to watch the fight.  Then it was Kyle OReilly trying to keep Davey focused as Ciampa verbally distracted him.  Next came The House of Truth followed by Eddie Edwards & Adam Cole. Truth Martini attempted to get involved in the match, prompting OReilly to stop him. This led to Roderick Strong & Michael Elgin attacking Kyle on the floor.

The chaos didnt end there. An all-out brawl started on the floor that ultimately saw Elgin toss Adam Cole into Jay Lethal as he was attempting to hit his Lethal Injection maneuver.  The interruption gave Davey Richards  the opening he needed to nail a round kick to Lethals head and secure the victory.  The fight wasnt over, however, and the brawl continued back into the locker room area. Meanwhile,  Tommaso Ciampa sat at ringside and remained uninvolved in the fight.

In other action, The Young Bucks defeated the tag team of Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander to continue their momentum heading into NYC this Sunday night for their ROH World Tag Title match against The Briscoes.  Both teams put it all on the line, as they always do, but it was the Jackson brothers who proved the better team and now they look to claiming the tag team titles for the first time at the 10th Anniversary Event.

Tommaso Ciampa & The Embassy addressed his upcoming TV Title match with Jay Lethal while Jay & Mark Briscoe had words for not only The Young Bucks, but also for their opponents at Showdown in the Sun on March 31st, Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin, and The House of Truth following a bounced check

Inside ROH took a look at the situation between Kevin Steen & Jimmy Jacobs as they head towards a clash at the 10th Anniversary Event on March 4th.  We also learned that on that night Rhett Titus will make his return from injury when he & ANX partner Kenny King take on Wrestlings Greatest Tag Team in a return match from December TV!  It was also announced that Eddie Edwards & Roderick Strong would fight it out next week to see who will face the ROH World Champion on March 30th at Showdown in the Sun.

Next week on Ring of Honor Wrestling TV

On the next episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling, two former ROH World Champions clash with the chance to regain their title on the line!  Former champion Roderick Strong & ROHs only Triple Crown Champion Eddie Edwards meet to see which man will challenge for the ROH World Title on March 30th when ROH hits Ft. Lauderdale for a Showdown in the Sun!  These two men have a long history stemming from the night Eddie beat Roderick to take the ROH World Title in March of 2011, and Roderick just took a victory over Edwards in a No DQ war in Cincinnati.  Which man will pick up the victory in this latest chapter of their rivalry and go on to face the champion in Florida?

Also TJ Perkins will be in action against "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett and, of course, Bennett will have both Brutal Bob & The 1st Lady of ROH Maria Kanellis in his corner.  Can Perkins pick up the win in this rematch of their Northern Aggression bout or will Bennett stay on a winning track and get back into TV Title contention?

And speaking of the TV Title, the man who will challenge Jay Lethal at the 10th Anniversary Event this Sunday night, The Dominant Male Tommaso Ciampa will compete and you can guarantee he will have The Embassy Ltd in his corner.

News, Rumors, & Speculation

- ROH World Champion Davey Richards has been acknowledging Wrestlings Worst Nightmare Kevin Steen of late to acquaintances and friends. Steen seems obsessed with Richards and the ROH World Championship since being reinstated and Richards has generally ignored most of everything Steen has said. It seems to be getting to Richards according to people who know him and you can expect Richards to make his feelings known to the public soon as we have reports that Davey is boiling and ready to snap.

- Athletes from the CHIKARA organization have been invited to attend our 10th Anniversary Event. CHIKARA Grand Champion Eddie Kingston has accepted the invitation and has stated that it will be good to see old friends plus he is interested at seeing the ROH World Champion wrestle up close.

- Fans in Toronto can expect a MEGA lineup for our return on May 12th. We are in negotiations with a couple of top performers not currently in ROH.

- A true ROH Pioneer returns to ROH this Sunday. It has been many years since The Amazing Red has competed in ROH but he plans on making a huge impression at the 10th Anniversary Event and is prepared to shine!

- ROH officials have decided to put the No Disqualification Rule on Wrestlings Worst Nightmare Kevin Steen vs. Jimmy Jacobs this Sunday in New York City. It is believed that this match could be very violent and it could potentially be cut short by ROH referees abiding by the standard rule regulations. ROH officials do not want to see this match end abruptly due to the aggressive nature of the situation as well as fan expectations.

- Although not wrestling on the event, Steve Corino will be in NYC this Sunday for the 10th Anniversary Event. Corino arrives back from Japan early Sunday morning just in time to catch the big iPPV. It is obvious that most of his focus will be on the Kevin Steen vs. Jimmy Jacobs bout.

- This Saturday we will return to Baltimore for our next set of TV Tapings. Fans will see March Mayhem throughout the month of March!

- ROH officials are very high on the recent winners of the Rise & Prove Tournament, Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls. Both men have been invited to Showdown in the Sun on March 30th when Ring of Honor travels to Ft. Lauderdale. That night, live on iPPV, the Australian duo will get the Proving Ground match that they earned against either the Briscoe Brothers or the Young Bucks. We expect these guys to turn some heads in Florida!

Inside Ring Of Honor - 02/20/12

This week on Ring of Honor Wrestling TV

It was another chaotic week on Ring of Honor Wrestling as issues between The Briscoes and Wrestlings Greatest Tag Team heated up, Wrestlings Worst Nightmare Kevin Steen made his in-ring return to ROH, and we get closer to our 10th Anniversary Event on March 4th in NYC.

Kevin Kelly & Nigel McGuinness were at ringside for commentary as always and Kevin informed the audience that due to Shelton Benjamins continued suspension (resulting from his chair assault on The Briscoes) the scheduled main event of WGTT vs. The Young Bucks would not be happening.

Charlie Haas hit the ring, put the blame for Sheltons suspension on everyone but his partner, and stated he would fight one of the Briscoes himself in the main event.  Of course this drew out the ROH World Tag Team Champions who are always ready to fight, but it also brought out ROH Executive Producer Jim Cornette who demanded Haas pick which one he wanted to fight.  Haas agreed to fighting Mark, but only if Jay was handcuffed at ringside.  Jay agreed, and it would prove to be a fateful decision later that night.

Steve Corino joined the commentary team as Andy Ridge prepared to face Wrestlings Worst Nightmare Kevin Steen in his first televised match since winning his reinstatement at Final Battle 2011. Ridge put up a valiant fight but Steen was too much for the youngster and picked up the victory with the F-5, but that was just the beginning.  Following the closing bell, Steen grabbed Ridge and attempted to deliver the banned Package Piledriver which brought Corino out of his chair to intervene.  Steve got in Kevins face but did not do anything physical, that was all on Jimmy Jacobs as he made his return to ROH for the first time since FB 11 and speared Steen!  Security got involved to break it up while Jacobs challenged Kevin to a match between the two most evil men in ROH history that, as we now know, will go down at the 10th Anniversary.

ROH World Champion Davey Richard & Eddie Edwards shared their thoughts heading into that NYC event and their impending confrontation with Eddie Edwards & Adam Cole which led into Edwards & Coles first match as a tag team against the duo of Matt Taven & Mike Mondo.  Eddie & Adam picked up the victory, looking quite fluid for their first time out, and following the loss Mondo assaulted his partner.

This weeks Inside ROH segment took a look at last weeks $10,000 Challenge Match between The Briscoes & The HoT, the Briscoes match with The Young Bucks on March 4th as well as ROH World TV Champion Jay Lethals title defense against Tommaso Ciampa that same night.  We also learned that next week on Ring of Honor Wrestling it will be ROH World Champion Davey Richards defending his title against Lethal in a rematch of their Homecoming 2012 contest.

In the main event set up earlier in the night, Mark Briscoe beat Charlie Haas with his brother Jay handcuffed in the corner, but as with Steens match earlier in the night, it was the aftermath the left an impression on the fans in attendance and those watching on TV.  Haas, upset at his defeat, pulled a trick from his partners handbook and blasted Mark Briscoe with a chair across the head while Jay was helpless to assist his brother.  Following the attack, Haas arrogantly threw $10,000 down on the announcers table to cover the costs of Sheltons earlier fine as well as his own impending charges, and told the Briscoes they were dead

Next week on Ring of Honor Wrestling TV

This weekend ROH World Champion puts his title on the line against ROH World TV Champion Jay Lethal in a rematch of their Homecoming 2012 battle, a rematch that Richards himself requested after the way Roderick Strong interfered in their first battle in Philadelphia.  Can Lethal come out on top this time and be the first man in ROH history to hold two titles simultaneously or will Richards continue his run of dominance with the ROH World Title?

Also in tag team action, coming off their ROH World Tag Title match in Norfolk, Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander will face the team heading into a tag title bout at the 10th Anniversary Event, The Young Bucks.  Matt & Nick Jackson aim to go into NYC on a roll so you can bet they will pull out all the stops to make sure they come out on top.  Caprice & Cedric had that taste with their championship opportunity and you can bet they want more; a victory over the top contenders would certainly give them that chance.

Also The Briscoes speak their minds, we take a look at the Kevin Steen-Jimmy Jacobs-Steve Corino situation, and as we prepare for Synergy on April 28th, Inside ROH will take a look at CHIKARA!
